I think she may have had a son to a Mr. Thomson in Dunfermline about 1897 before marrying William Burnett.
In the Scottish censuses of 1881, 1891, and 1901, respectively, her name seems to be listed as:
Maggie Fisher, age 6 (born Dundee)
Margaret Fisher, age 16 (born Dundee)
Magdalene Stark Thomson, age 26 (born Dundee)
She was living with her parents during each of these census takings.
