Michael Flannery was born in Beltra, Mayo, Ireland, in 1884, son of Thomas Flannery and Honor Morrison.
After his parents died, Michael lived in Beltra with his sister, Mary. On the 1901 Ireland Census Record, Michael, who is sixteen, and Mary, who is 14, live together in Beltra, Co. Mayo.[1]
In 1911, Michael lives in Kilhale, Mayo, with Walter McGarry and his family, and was listed as a "farm servant".[2]
He immigrated to the United States in 1915 aboard the "Tuscania". His destination is Cleveland, Ohio, where his younger brother Andrew Flannery already lived.
In 1920, Michael Flannery is found on the 1920 United States Federal Census living in Cleveland, Ohio, works as a laborer in the building trade, and is unmarried.[3]
Michael died in 1944.[4]
