FLINT HALL, at the University is named in his honor, and four years after his retirement from the university a plaque was dediacated to K.R.3. for his 45 years of service to the University. The Flint plague carries the following inscription: "Kemp Russell Blanchard Flint, graduate of Norwich 1903, member of the faculty 1907-1952, professor emeritus of political science 1952. "An authority on governmental practices and procedures, he built citizenship by creating in his students a deep respect for and appreciation of the democratic processes. For forty-five years his clear judgement and stabilizing influence served to establish and to perpetuate many of the permanent characteristics, customs, and traditions of this institution. I observing my Uncle Kemp, I found him to have a great sense of humor, a story teller with wild imagination, and a proficient tease. He liked nothing better than to work two children into an argument and then sit back with a twinkle in his eye and observe his handiwork. Interceding only to kindle the fire. His hands were so supple he could actually smack his fingers into tne palms of his hands by closing his hands fast, and the beat was the same as that of a tap dancer or drummer. Though I nave tried since a boy, I could never duplicate the sound.(h.n.f.)
