Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

Thank you for your reply nontheless. Ambrose to Fontaine? Interesting. The Louisiana connection reminds me of the fact that, if he was in fact French Canadian in descent, his ancestors may have been among the ones who were forcibly evicted from the Canadian maritime provinces (a.k.a. Arcadia)after the English beat the French Canadians in battle, claiming all of Canada for itself. This is where that cool Cajin New Orleans accent comes from, no?

Your name posted on my Navi page. I have a long line of Fontaines going back to the Montreal area. My grandfather was named Fountain (Anglicised version). Wondering if we are connected way back in Quebec history.
