Howard Fortenberry, 85 of Brandon, Mississippi, died Friday, April 18, 2014 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi, with burial following in Magee City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, Mississippi. 601-849-5031

Mr. Howard is preceded in death by his parents, Holly Fortenberry and Lizzie Thompson Fortenberry; and siblings, Homer Fortenberry, Holly "Junior" Fortenberry, Jr., and Johnnie Bea Shows.

Survivors include children, Evelyn "Mopsy" Malone (Bobby), Raymond, MS, Peggy Inabnet, Brandon, MS, Tommy Fortenberry (Darla), Baytown, TX, Teddy Fortenberry (Sandy), Lufkin, TX, Conny Fortenberry, Richmond, TX, and Tammy Hager, Coppers Cove, TX; brother, Louis Fortenberry; and sister, Ann Ainsworth; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. ^{[1] [3]}
