Thanks for all your work on WikiTree. I noticed that you are creating profiles for the pre-1700 ancestors from the Ancestry source you have found. Congratulations on finding records back that far!
Since you are now back in the time period where many people can be descended from those ancestors, we need more details in your source area. As collaborative genealogists, we need to tell each other our sources so that we can work together to assess the relative reliability of the source and the evidence it contains.
The Sources - Examples section more fully explains what information needs to be included in source citations for pre-1700 profiles. The Links to Ancestry FAQ can help you create more detailed source citations for those records you have found.
You could also try the Sourcer browser extension to create the citations automatically. That is what I like to use. Let me know if you have any questions,
We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.
Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please dont assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.
Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.
Yes I was having trouble getting it said and you have cleaned it up very nicely. The biggest clue for John's status is that on his death certificate L S Ward is said to be his son-in-law and the obit on the findagrave memorial that names Margaret Ward as his daughter. Am pursuing a census for them.

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Be sure to also check out our Volunteer Hub to see our projects that really need new members!
Let me know, and I can help you figure out if there's a project that might interest you. Welcome aboard, we are glad to have you!
