Biography

Stephen Fountain, born on 26 September 1806 in Stokes, North Carolina, was a son of James Fountain and Elizabeth Ring.^[1] He married Marietta Clark on 1 March 1825.^[2]

Stephen and his young wife, Marietta, along with his parents, removed to Indiana thru the Cumberland Gap, with all of their possessions in a one horse wagon. Together they had at least ten children listed below. He died on 7 August 1890 in Lawrence, Indiana, ^[3]
