"I give unto my granddaughter Margret SPILMAN a certain parcel of land lying on the Eastern side of the Meadow Branch commonly known by the name of Witins during her lifetime and after her decease to return to my grandson Robert FRANK and if my grandson should die without heir lawfully begotten of his own body that to return to my grandson William PLUNKETT" [a son of John and Frances (FRANK) PLUNKETT).

"I give to my granddaughter Margret SPILMAN one cow and calf."^[2]

Margret SPILMAN was named in the will of her grandfather, Robert FRANK of Westmoreland County, Virginia on 17 November 1725. According to Melville, she was probably the wife of William SPILMAN (d.1760). - Westmoreland County, Virginia Deeds and Wills, Bk.8, p.77
