Biography

Benjamin Monroe Franks was born about 1851 in Mississippi, in the vicinity of Pontotoc. He and his parents, Benjamin and Levicy, moved to Texas after the Civil War, settling in Bedias, Grimes County, Texas. By 1900, he was living in Galveston County, where he died in 1904.
