Ann Macdonell is listed as the daughter of Ann (Fraser) Macdonell and Archibald MacDonell of Leek in the Dictionary of Canadian Biography. Archibald MacDonell, the 2nd son of John MacDonell of Leek is listed as marrying Ann Fraser of Ballindoon in the link from W.L. Scott. Family tradition dictates that Ann MacDonell is their child but this has not been confirmed.
