DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Robert by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Robert:

Oct 2021 and email I received

Hi Andrea,

Thank you for your work on this.

My mother was Billie Jean Frazier and my 4th great grandfather was Micajah Frasher 1753-1843. I traveled from CA to Louisa KY, and found the wonderful Frasher/Frazier Family History by Harry Leon Sellards Jr at a library in Louisa KY. I've looked at all the sources I could find on Ancestry.com. Micajah has been a brick wall.

I realize the only way to know for sure Micajah's parentage was to confirm y-dna to i.e. Robert Frazier, but no longer know any Frazier family members. It appears that maybe your site has done this?

I will be glad to upload my autosomal dna if it helps. I'm thinking this link to Robert Frazier and Clara Frances (Graham) Frazier has already been confirmed? With all my Frazier (sp) matches and the fact that Micajah is only my 4th great grandfather, I'm certain he's my 4th great. I just want to know with certainty that Robert and Clara are truly Micajah's parents before adding to my tree. One thing that worries me is that Micajah was indentured as an orphan in April 1771 before Robert and Frances deeded their land on 3 July 1771 (per Robert Frazier Family: Baker Beeman etc source on your site.)

Thanks again, I look forward to hearing from you!

Andrea, thank you for posting this email message. Trying to verify Micajah's parents is a difficult task considering the lack of records from the time period and place. Y-DNA links might be a better way to go, except that requires a male frazier to take a Y-DNA test and then upload it. FamilyTree DNA has a project tracking the various Frazier clans and septs through their Y-DNA. This is the best hope for actually verifying the various lines of Fraziers, which are many.

I am sorry it took so long for me to reply, but my life was sort of blowing up around the time this was posted, but things have settled down now. I will continue working on records for the Fraziers and try to verify the various lines.
