Biography

I love Genealogy and find it a relaxing hobby. My paternal lines are Diener/Andrews, Bubb/Zollinger. My maternal lines are Webb/Stalvey, Cotton/Hembree

  • My Diener line is from Germany
  • My Andrews line is from Belfast, Ireland. My 2nd great grandfather was Robert Andrews born 1872 Belfast, Ireland. My great grandmother told me before she passed he was cousins with Thomas Andrews from the Titanic. They were both from the Andrews family, born within a year from each other and both worked at a shipyard. Not sure if its true but its something we have been working on.
  • My Webb line is from Wales. Relations include William Shakespeare and Lucy Ware Webb Hays, Loretta Lynn.
  • Through my Cotton line I am related to King Henry.
  • Through my Hembree Line I am related to Pocahontas.

I am excited to do a DNA test when I get the funds to see just how my search lines up with my genes.

Donna --

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week now so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. We have New Member How-Tos to help you get started. Are they helpful or just leave you with questions?

We want to help! Click my name above, then ask in the comment section of my page.

PS Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Hi Donna,

Thanks for joining us! I’m David, a WikiTree Mentor. Hope you're enjoying our site.

Did you have fun learning your way around WikiTree yesterday?

I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Do you have any questions I can answer?

Hi Donna!

Thanks for volunteering! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community, and you can start adding your family. Once you sign the Honor Code, you'll be able to fully participate and edit Open profiles, as well.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour to help new members learn their way around. The first stop is How-To #1: How to Start Climbing Our Tree. The How-To's are intended to be visited about once a week, but feel free to work through them at your own pace.

To meet other WikiTreers, check out our G2G forum, including the G2G Question of the Week.

Enjoy!

Hello Donna,

Welcome to WikiTree. By now you should have received an email with helpful links to get you started on adding your family to ours.

WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person and that means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team!

When you can't find information online, where do you start your offline research?

When you confirm your email address, you’ll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.

When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership.

Happy Hunting,

Jess
