Biography

Mary was born about 1730. She is the daughter of Paul Froman and Elizabeth Hite. Some suggest that Mary's full name is Marie Christina Froman, but this has not been confirmed. She was the granddaughter of Hans Joist Hite and Anna Maria Merckle from Germany. They settled on South River, Shenandoah Valley.

Mary is proven to have been married to Abraham Kellar, as documented in a sworn statement concerning property given to Paul Froman by Jost Hite.. The 18 May 1770 sworn statement by Paul Froman Sr states that ..... land was given to the husbands of Mary Froman and Magdalen(a) Froman daughters of Paul Froman Sr. [1]. They had eight known children.

She passed away about 1768.

Froman-489 and Froman-8 appear to represent the same person because: Married name spelled as Kellar vs Keller. These are duplicates. Year of birth should be 1730, not 1740, as the birth of her first child was 1751 when she would have been only eleven years old.
Hite - Fairfax case;,states that that "Paul Froman gave the remaining part of the said tract of land to his two daughters Mary and Magdalen. That Mary intermarried with your orator Abraham Keller and that Magdalen intermarried with William Overall."
