William Prescott Frost, Jr., was born on 27 Dec 1850 in Kingston, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire.

Gary Boyd Roberts claims to have documented his ancestry back to royalty, identifying William Jr's parents as: William Prescott Frost and Judith Colcord.^[1]

He was a descendant of colonist Nicholas Frost from Tiverton, Devon, England who had sailed to New Hampshire in 1634 on the Wolfrana.

Was he the 19-year-old William P Frost, b NH, college student in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1870?^[2]

Frost was a teacher and later an editor for the San Francisco Evening Bulletin. He had aspirations for his son Robert to follow his path and become an editor in California. However, Robert Frost became a poet.
