A deposition by S.B. Wilson, Capt., commanding officer for B.H. Frost's company, states that B.H. Frost was "aged 27 years, 5 feet 10 inches high, fair complexion, dark eyes, dark hair, and by occupation a farmer".

Killed in battle near Corinth, Mississippi on the 4th day of October 1862, leaving neither a wife nor child (he never married)
