1850 Joseph and "Drucilla" are living in Pilot Township, Surry County, North Carolina. It appears that there are three sons in their household -- Andrew, Christian and John. There is also a 14-year-old Martha A. Murphy in their household. She was born in North Carolina.[5]
1860 Joseph and Drucilla are living in Rockford District, Surry County, North Carolina at the time of this census. It looks like their son John is living with them. He is listed as "J W Fulk" age 25.[6]
This profile was originally linked to parents John Volck and Anna Maria Hartmann, but according to Lovell, John and Maria did not have a son named Joseph. However, Andrew and Rebecca (Laydon) Volck did, and she notes that this Joseph "perhaps" married a Drucilla Ashburn.[1]
Additionally, this Joseph is shown to have only "perhaps" married Drucilla Ashburn and not Maria Catherine Moser.[1] Since he is found married to Drusilla in the 1850 Census, and Maria Catherine Moser didn't die until 1886, I think it's highly unlikely that they were married in 1825. -- Fiscus-32 15:36, 17 December 2015 (EST)
