Biography
Florence (Gadberry) Collett has Irish ancestors.
When Florence Matilda Gadbury was born on January 24, 1877, in Newport, Arkansas, her father, James, was 22, and her mother, Mary, was 20. She married John Stogner on May 5, 1895 in Jackson, Arkansas[1] and they had three children together, 2 known are:
- Chester Lemuel Stogner (1897–1985)
- Bennie Stogner (1899–bef. 1910)
John died before June of 1900 and she then married William Lonzo Collett in 1902 in Paris, TX[2] and they had four children together:
- Alice Pearl Collett (1907–1999)
- Harvie Linton Collett (1909–1968)[3]
- Ola Ruth Collett (1911–2010)
- Benton Enoch Collett (1914–2000)
William died in 1944 in Farris, OK and Florence died on March 25, 1952, in Marysville,[4] California, at the age of 75, and was buried in Olivehurst, California.[5]
