He then married widow Martha Jane (Kennedy) Dyer (1842-1946) on March 10, 1867 in Upshur County, Texas;[3] they had at least three children:
He died on March 18, 1919,[5] in Anna, Texas, having lived a long life of 84 years, and was buried in Westminster, Texas.[6]
