Augusta's birth family was Evangelical. She married a Catholic and is buried in a Catholic cemetery.
Gajafsky family history compiled by Emma Rose Gajafsky Cartier says "Sisters were: Mrs. Augusta Pada and Otilia Beyersdorf--called Tina." The handwriting in the 1910 Census does look like Pada: Frank Pada Head age 44 b Germany; Augusta Pada wife age 42 b Germany emigrated 1889; August Pada son age 18 b Illinois; Mary Pada dau age 16 b IL; Frank Pada son age 14 b IL; Helena Pada dau age 11 b IL The handwritten capital could be a T instead of a P; it differs from the capital P of Polaczek in the entry above it. Both Frank and Augusta are "Ger-Polish" and their native tongue is Polish. [1]
Her husband Frank worked in the stockyards of Chicago as did their son Frank Jr. [2]
