After the war, he married Elizabeth Hays in Bedford, Virginia in 1779 [4]. On 21 July 1805, the Commonwealth of Virginia requested a dower release from Elizabeth Galbraith, wife of Thomas Galbraith, regarding the sale of land dated 6 November 1804 to Daniel Gray. Elizabeth was examined in Jefferson County, Tennessee, on 21 October 1805. Recorded in Campbell County, Virginia, 9 December 1805. [5].
In 1806, he resided in Knoxville, Tennessee [6]. In 1829, he was named in a Knoxville Register newspaper article as appraiser of a recovered lost or stolen horse [7]. He passed away in 1829 [8]. From his bio on Find a Grave:
"Thomas was born in Bucks Co PA. He and Elizabeth Hays were married in Bedford Co, VA, on May 30, 1779.
Thomas served In the Revolutionary War on the Pennsylvania Continental Line. He enlisted on June 10, 1775, in Northampton Co PA, and served as a Private. He was discharged on July 1, 1776. The records indicate that in 1818 Thomas was 67 years old. He received a pension on April 27, 1820 for his service during the War and was allowed $8 per month. He and his family were living in Jefferson Co, TN, when he received his pension. Thomas died in 1829."
