DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with William by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with William:
This William Galloway is NOT to be confused with the William Galloway of Henry Co, AL who is alleged (incorrectly) to have married Polly Ragan and lived in Oglethorpe & Henry Co, AL. These are not the same man, nor are they known related. The William Galloway of Henry Co, AL had ancestors from Darlington Co, SC and was in Henry Co, AL when this William was known to still be in Oglethorpe & Elbert Co, GA. Also, some researchers have crossed the children of these 2 men as well as the wives. I have researched both lines
so can help others to uncross them if needed.
