Biography

Richard Gardner was the son of Solomon Gardner and Anna Coffin. He married Sarah Macy, daughter of John and Judith Macy, in Nantucket on 5 Feb 1746; they removed to New Garden, North Carolina, in 1771.[1][2]They were received at New Garden on 24 Jan 1772.[3]
