She passed away about 1832.
- Fact: History of Taylor Co. IA, 1881 Stated that James T. Johnston's mother Elizabeth was born in England, and that she died when James was 2 years old. The biography states that James was born in Franklin Co. PA, (Which agree's with info from niece Harriet Johnston Hills, daughter of brother John Johnston.) James T. Johnston's obituary states that he was born in Hagerstown MD, however, the family resided in Hagerstown area,Washington Co. MD after leaving PA. Elizabeth most likely died in Franklin Co. PA, or Washington Co. MD, not Peaksville, MO.(As stated in grandaughter's letter) The biography also stated James was the younges child of 5 born to Elizabeth and that he had an older brother named William.
- Fact: Birth place: PA Most of her children's records say PA. Son James T Johnston's IA death rec says England..however it does NOT say this in his census records.
