John was born October 16th 1901 and died August 5th 1919 at the age of 17, in Washington DC.

His WWI Draft Registration Card date of birth conflicts with the 1900 and 1910 family census and the age of his death on the Deaths Report article from the Evening Star.

GARNER
On Tuesday, August 5, 1919 at 10 a.m., after a long illness, JOHN VICTOR, beloved son of Carrie Garner (nee Davis) and Luther B. Garner, at his residence, 521 5th st. s.e.
