George was born October 29th 1899 in King George, Virginia. He married Isabelle May Long, daughter of Walter and Ida Long, December 8th 1922. They had 6 children.
According to the divorce papers between Richard and Clizzie, George was the son of Richard's distant cousin William 'Rufus' Garner.
George died in August 1979, in Englewood Colorado. He was 79. His family brought his ashes back to Virginia and buried them at the foot of Richard’s grave, not knowing the history of Richard and Clizzie’s 1899 divorce.
Isabelle died October 29th 1987, at Mary Washington Hospital, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, from pneumonia. She was 83. Her ashes are buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Westmoreland, Virginia, next to her husband. She was placed to the right of center of Richard’s headstone.
