Biography

Elizabeth was born in Northampton, Massachusetts Colony in 1654, the daughter of Daniel and Mary (Usher) Garrett. Her father was one of the original founders of Hartford. She was twice married. First to Samuel Elmer with whom she had five children. Secondly to Simon Booth with whom she had a daughter. She lived a long life and died at the age of seventy-three.

Her birthplace is likely Hartford, Connecticut rather than Northampton, Massachusetts. All her siblings were born there and that is where her parents lived.
