Mary was born in 1872. She married her husband William Loescher in 1895,[1] with whom she bore 11 children and inherited 1 stepchild. She passed away in 1959.[2]
Some sources, e.g. parents' first US census record and son Clarence's obituary, spell her maiden name as "Gerholdt." Her parents likely changed the family's surname at some time after immigration to drop the 't.'

She was born May 22, 1872, in Cincinnati.
She was the widow of William Loescher, who died in 1939.
Surviving are three sons, Dewey of Rt. 5, Harold of Rt. 5 and Clarence of Ada; four daughters, Mrs Edna Roeder of Aurora, Ill., Mrs. Minnie Gefell of Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. Ida Richmond of 1224 E. North and Mrs. Isabel Miller of 625 Dewey; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Loescher was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Chiles and Son Funeral Home, with Rev. John Berger officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Saturday.
