Hortense "Mary" Gerin, daughter of Joseph and Anna Gerin, was born about 1846 in France[1]. She appeared on a passenger list with her parents on the S.S. London sailing from Le Havre, France and arriving in New York on 21 Oct. 1853.[2] She appeared on the census of 2 June 1860 in the home of her parents at Wygandt, Iroquois, Illinois.[3]
She married Antoine Goyette, son of Louis Goyette, on 12 Sep. 1864 at Kankakee County, Illinois.[4]
She and Antoine appeared on the census of 12 June 1880 at Papineau, Iroquois, Illinois.[5]
Mary died on 31 Dec. 1893 at Kankakee County, Illinois.[6] and was buried at Saint Anne Township Cemetery, Saint Anne, Kankakee County, Illinois. Her memorial has a photo of her headstone.[7]
