Joseph Gibson was born about 1703 in Meath, Ireland to parents Isaac Gibson and Jean Fothringhame. He married Alice Jackson about 1724 in Meath, Ireland. They immigrated to America in 1728 and settled in Chester, Pennsylvania. Children: Anne, Isaac, Thomas, Joseph, Rebecca, John, James, Moses, William. He died on 27 Mar 1764 in Chester, Pennsylvania.
