Hi LeAnna,

There are lots of discussions about how to proceed with place naming and it would be worthwhile for you to check out the G2G Forum posts regarding that. Here are some places to search.

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Location_Fields https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/projects

On G2G there are a lot of discussions about the locations. When you type in locations in the edit function of a profile it does offer suggestions.

Thanks, Cindy

Hi,

As you have been a member of WikiTree for about a week now I thought I would check in to see how you are getting on with the site.

Has the New Member How-To  been helpful or left you with any questions?

I am here to help with any problems or queries you may have. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message.  Sometimes links don't work in emails.  If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Hi LeAnna,

Thanks for becoming pre-1700 certified. Now that you will be working on older profiles you will find yourself collaborating more with others. The best way to do this is by joining a project. Have a look at our list of pre-1700 projects and see if any are of interest to you. Give me a shout if you have any questions.

Thanks, Susie :-)

Welcome LeAnna!

Since you confirmed as a full member we are happy you are part of the WikiTree community! To help save you time, energy and frustration, please start with our New Member How-To pages.

Click the green Tag on your profile page, you'll see others following the same things you are researching. The more Tags you add that include locations, periods of history or other genealogical interests, the more links to the community research options.

Please ask if you have any questions as I am always happy to help!

PS If you ever get a "Page Not Found" error when you click a link in a WikiTree email, you can usually find a functioning link in the public comments section of your profile page.
