Paul Giles was born on 10 March 1814 in Boothbay, Maine. His parents were Samuel Giles and Elizabeth (Sherman) Giles[1].
He married Mary Ann Pinkham on 14 February 1839 in Boothbay[2]. They had eight children[3]:
1. Mary Elizabeth, born 26 May 1840; married James F. Matthews
2. John Pinkham, born 31 Jul 1841; died 1918
3. Charles, born 14 Oct 1843; married Julia Dolloff
4. Lydia Ann, born 16 Nov 1845; married Irving Adams
5. Julia, born 14 Apr 1848; married Augustus Chamberlain
6. Albion P., born 17 Aug 1851; married 1st Belle Lewis, 2nd Mary Lewis
7. Franklin, born 21 Nov 1857; died 1873
8. Nellie, born 22 Feb 1860; married William Baker
Paul died on 10 May 1910 and is buried in Wylie Cemetery in Boothbay[4].
