Thomas Marion Gill was born about 1744 in Lurgan, Ireland to parents Robert David Gill and Eleanor Kelsey (Kelso). He immigrated to America with his family in 1773 and settled in North Carolina. He married Mary Jones on 4 Apr 1801 in North Carolina. Children: Daysor David (Days). He died on 29 Sep 1808 in Chester, North Carolina.
Thomas and brothers, George, Robert Harvey, Archibald D, and James, fought in the Revolutionary War.
He served in the Revolutionary War as a Corporal in the 3rd Regiment, South Carolina and was taken prisoner and confined in Camden jail.[1]
Thomas Gill was mentioned in Archibald Gill's will, along with sister Elenor.
Thomas's will was probated on 1 Nov 1808, Leonard Strait and Agness Gill Administrators. Among his belongs, a gray mare, $60, and "my Negro Man Jack, $60."
