Biography
Grace Evelyn Gledhill was born on November 6, 1885 in Appleby, New Zealand, daughter of Allan Gledhill (1857–1899) and Hannah Mary Gifford (1854–1892).
Grace (24) married Edgar Hereford Claridge (30) (born in 1879 in New Zealand; son of Vincent Claridge and Sarah Ann Marks) in 1910.[1] Their children were:
- Edgar Herbert Lewis Claridge (1911–1997)
- Grace Jean Sadie Hazlewood nee Claridge (1912–1997 )
- Ria Evelyn Claridge (1913– )
- Allen Keith Claridge (1914–1964)
- Douglas Arthur Claridge (1916–1941)

Grace died on January 28, 1972 in Wellington, New Zealand, aged 86.[2]
