Page 101: 2 MARY GODWIN, daughter of George and Elling (Smith) Godwin, married Joseph, son of Henry Jackson. He died in 1681 and before 1686 she married Joseph Seeley. The probate records of Fairfield, Ct., clearly established this fact, and give proof that she was not the Mary who married John Sturges.

Mary Goodwin and Mary Godwin look like the same person, born same year, died same year, same parents. But her purported marriage to John Sturges seems not possible. That John Sturges died in Fairfield about 1 Jan 1743/4, and his long-time (?) wife Abigail outlived him. See FooF I, p. 595. The man mentioned in the NYGBR must be a different John Sturges, who married a different Mary Goodwin/Godwin. Or I'm missing something.
