Biography

There is no known document giving John Turton Goff's age at any particular time and a tombstone for him has not been located. The year 1738 is just a rough estimate. His parents are currently unknown. The names Thiel Goff and Hannah Turton as his parents cannot be proven. John Turton Goff was probably buried on his land in what is now Preston County, WV (then in Monongalia County, VA); his wife Monica was buried in what is now Gilmer County, WV (then in Lewis County, VA).
