1810 residence Randolph County, VA (now WV); 1820 residence Randolph County, VA (now WV); 1830 residence Randolph County, VA (now WV); 1840 residence Delaware County, IN; 1850 residence unable to locate

He is buried Mount Tabor Cemetery, southeast of Muncie, Delaware County, IN.

Not to be confused with John Goff (1768-1837) of Bedford County, VA who married Sabina Halley and lived near Crab Orchard, Lincoln County, KY.
