Philip was born about 1705 the son of Samuel Goode and Martha Jones.
There was more than one Philip Goode so we cannot be sure which one the following refers to. Daniel Hankins was the assignee of Philip Goode winning a court case for which he received compensation 1768 Halifax County, Virginia.[1] Daniel Hankins was the father-in-law of Amy Jones (married John Hankins) and she was the daughter of Phillip Jones and Jane Watkins.
The location fits this Philip Goode profile but the dates seem iffy. Charlotte County, Virginia Court Order Book 14, p 66. dated 1 August 1803. Philip Goode, Plaintiff vs John Kersey, Irvin Woods and Ursella his wife, James Anderson & Sally his wife, Elisha Kersey, Polly Kersey, Elijah Kersey, Norman Kersey and Thomas Kersey, Defendants--a suit in chancery. The defendants not being inhabitants of this county, it is ordered this decree be published in one of the Virginia Gazettes for two months consecutively.
