Biography
Solomon was born about 1840. He was the son of Spencer Goodson and Abigail Phipps.
He was living with his father, siblings, and stepmother in Bond county, Illinois in 1850.[1]
Solomon married Sarah E. Anderson on 16 Nov 1866 in Bond county, Illinois.[2] They had five known children - Sophronia, William, Benjamin F, Thomas Dale, and John M Goodson.
They were in Beaver Creek, Bond, Illinois in 1870.[3]
He passed away of dropsy in April of 1880 according to a mortality schedule published 31 May 1880 in Washington county, Arkansas.[4] This noted he was 40, born in Illinois, father from Kentucky, mother from Tennessee, was a farmer, and had been resident in Washington, Arkansas for a year.
