John Quincy was a tavern owner. John Q. and Eliza Ann lived two doors down from James H. Gouge (his newphew) and 3 doors down from T.C. Clark and his wife Eliza Ann Gouge (his neice). Both James and Eliza were the children of his brother William Taylor and inherited land when he died.
