George Washington Gragg was born on November 24, 1866, in Boone Township, Watauga County, North Carolina. He was the son of John Gragg and Nancy Greene. He married Mary Brown on March 17, 1907, in North Carolina. He passed on August 27, 1960, in New River, Watauga County, North Carolina, at the age of 93.[1][2][3]
