Biography
res. Litchfield 1778; private in Capt. Starr's Co., 4th Regt., 1775, regt. of Col. Andrrew Ward, Jr., 1776; became a Capt. and was detailed to guard Gov. Franklin; his bro. Isaac, who was in the same squad, used often to say; "Confound Benjamin Franklin; watching his son kept us out of many a fight and me a sergeant."; taken prisoner at Ft. Washington 1776.
