Biography

Carrie was born in October 1890 in Macon County, North Carolina. She is the daughter of Andrew Grant and Susan Love.

In 1900 she was living in Macon County, North Carolina in the household of her mother and step-father Melvina and Joseph McClure. Her surname is given as "McClure" instead of "Grant," but she is listed as Stepdaughter.[1]
