Paternal Relationships

  • Paternal relationship is confirmed by Y-chromosome DNA testing. Teddy Odum's ftdna kit matches 24 descendants of Thomas Graves of Hatfield, Massachusetts. He currently matches 9 known and suspected descendants of Stephen Graves. Stephen has a distinct mutation on DYS607 which identifies his family.[1]
  • Paternal relationship is confirmed by Y-chromosome DNA testing. Mr. Graves and Teddy Odum match on 37/37 as well as Stephen's unique marker on DYS607. Mr. Graves is a direct descendant of James' son Issac Graves. This relationship confirms the common ancestor as James Graves.
