On 10 December 1709, Martha Graves married to Jacob Foster who was born on 25 March 1670 in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony. His parents were Deacon Jacob Foster and Abigail Lord.[1]
However, Jacob Foster first married on 5 March 1697 in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay to Mary Caldwell, who was born on 26 February 1671 in Ipswich, Massachusetts and died on 2 April 1709 in Ipswich, Massachusetts. [1]
When Mrs. Martha Foster died sometime before 1742, his widower, Jacob Foster married thirdly to Mary Willeron on 14 October 1742. Jacob Foster died on 6 March 1758 in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay.[1]
Martha Grave and Jacob Foster's issues were as follow:
Nathaniel Foster, b. 14 December 1712; m. Elizabeth Leatherland.[1]
Anne Foster, b April 1715; m. Robert Mitchel. Their residence was in Newbury.[1]
Martha Foster, m. Richard Harris. In company with Jeremiah Foster of Ipswich in 1743. Harris purchased of Benjamin Morse a farm of one hundred and twenty acres in Harvard. Harris took the west sixty acres with the buildings. He was a weaver by trade and went to Harvard to keep his sons from being sailors. He died in 1776 and his heirs disposed of his estate near the close of the century to Oliver Hill. In 1752 he was a member of the board of assessors. They resided in Harvard, Massachusetts. They had six children together.[1]
Martha was born in 1681. She passed away in 1773.
