Daniel H. Green, 84, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 14, 2004. Funeral services were conducted Dec. 16 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with burial in Hyder Cemetery. Mike Sledge and Mike Garrett officiated. Mr. Green was born Jan. 12, 1920 in Crab Orchard, the son of Earl and Ethel Green.
He was a laborer-foreman, worked with Great Dane for 30 years and was in the Army during World War II where he served with the 6th Cavalry.
Survivors include his daughter, Mary Chester of Orlando, FL; son, Harold Green of Orlando, FL; daughter, Pat Green of Newport, TN; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Green of Crossville; sister, Louise Barnett of Orlando, FL; and special friends, Charlie and Toni Gross, Frances Nichols, Faye, Jerry and Jacob Buck, and Hospice of Cumberland County.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Green. The Veterans Honor Guard served as pallbearers.
