Biography

Patricia Joy (Pat) Green is born on September 29, 1928 in Morpeth, New South Wales, Australia. Her parents are Iola Jessie Bowden (1902-1977) and Robert Raymond Green (1889-1959). Morpeth is 35 kilometres west of Newcastle. Her father was also born in Morpeth.

In 1953 Pat marries Bernard Peter (Peter) Searle (1924-2015) in East Maitland. East Maitland is 32 kilometres west of Newcastle and only a few kilometres from Morpeth.

Pat and Peter have two children:

• Penelope (Penny) Searle 1955-? + Paul Verdich 1952-?

• Stephanie Searle 1958-? + Mark

It is likely that Pat and Peter live in Paterson, NSW after their wedding (see profile for Bernard Peter Searle). Paterson is 24 kilometres from East Maitland where they were married. Then sometime in the 1960s they probably move to the Australian Capital Territory (“probably” because this is tracing a name on the Australian Electoral Roles and it is not known if there was more than one “Bernard Peter Searle.”)

Pat dies on January 19, 2012. She likely dies in the Australian Capital Territory as that is where the funeral service is held.
