Biography

Thomas Green was a Virginia colonist.

Thomas Green was born in 1665, in Virginia, son of Thomas Green and Martha Filmer, both immigrants from England, ^[1] though documentation exists that has both parents originating from Holland. ^[2]

In 1715, still living in Virginia, he married Anne Elizabeth Marston ^[3] with their union producing eight children, Unknown female, Elizabeth, William, Lucy, Martha, Thomas, Rebecca and Marston. ^{[4] [5]} However, the date given for the marriage (1715) and the births dates of Abraham 1705-15, William 1710, and Unknown dau (m Cowles) b1712 indicate the possibility of a 1st wife OR erroneous research. Thomas died in 1733, ^{[6] [7]} while still living in the community where he was born and raised, and where he married and raised his own children. ^{[8] [9]}
