Biography

Thomas Greer was a Quaker, the child of Quakers Robert Greer and Mary Whitsitt. He married Elizabeth Bell the daughter of another prominent Quaker family. He worked as a linen merchant.

Research notes

No date of birth shown on his Quaker records. This has been estimated from the dates of his and his parents' marriages. Date of birth shown from the Betham's abstract of his will is between Jan 10 and 2 Mar 1746 (1746) conflicting with Burke's Irish Family Records which gives 15 Nov 1746.

Greer-3204 and Greer-2227 appear to represent the same person because: Same wife and daughter. Dates are iffy in both profiles. Estimates only available?
