Birth Record for Son Johann Peter Gula
[1]
When he was 8 years old, his family immigrated to Denmark.

For a discussion about the circumstances surrounding that move, see his father Matthias Gula's profile.
His family departed Denmark in 1765, but it's unclear if they went back to Germany or directly on to Russia. The journey to the Volga was known for being grueling and unforgiving, and many immigrants did not survive it.
While Johann Peter was clearly the son of Volga German immigrants, it's not clear whether or not he survived the journey to the Volga. He may have passed away during the journey or some time after his family arrived in Grimm but before 1775. He is not specifically mentioned in the 1775 census, although his parents and younger brother are.

If he survived, he would have been 22 years old in 1775, probably married, and living in another village.
