Sigurd Guttormson was the son of Guttorm Sigurdson, and held Torsnes in Jondal about 1360-1400.[1]
He was married to a daughter of Bård Karlshovedson from Norheim in Kvam.[1] Their children were:
Sigurd is named the son of Guttorm, and the father of Bård and Guttorm, in a diploma from 1409.[2] He may also be mentoned in two diplomas from 1375 and 1380, which name Sigurd Guttormson the brother's son to Brynhild Sigurdsdotter at Rogne, Voss.[1]
Prior to the discovery of the 1409 diploma in 1949, Sigurd at Torsnes was believed to have been Sigurd Gauteson Galte.[2]
